In 2012 the Travelling Still series was unveiled followed quickly by the Walking series.  Both series use past and present life images - entirely selected and centered by the artist - often from Asia, creating a world where the boundary between the past and present is blurred .

Most of the scenes are of simple everyday life but the tonal limitation - black and white or a single colour - create a sense of quiet nostalgia and poertry while the distance is kept via the "warp and weft" which makes the images "on the other side".

The selection and the centring of the images which are never spectacular or artistic  are showing the simple life of  people (working, walking, talking, bicycling...), who seems to have a complete indifference to our presence.
